Shortcodes and Longcodes

SMS Shortcodes are (usually) five digit numbers used for inbound or 2-way messaging. They provide an easier to remember, more marketable number that customers can use to send a message to your service. Short codes can be shared (with other customers to reduce costs) or dedicated to you, becoming a key part of your overall corporate branding. A Longcode is a cheaper alternative and is simply a virtual mobile phone number.

WiSys will register and maintain your short or longcodes, across any number of countries (subject to availability). Your code will work across all networks in each country. When combined with two-way SMS messaging, shortcodes provide a very powerful and effective way to comminucate with your stakeholders.
